This bath mat is not textile but a rigid slab of diatomite, a porous mineral that pulls moisture into itself. Step off it and the spot where you stood is dry again within minutes. The underside carries a non-slip coating.

Set the mat on a level surface, because an uneven floor leaves play under the slab. If it takes up less over time, sand the surface lightly with fine paper. Keep heavy objects off it and do not drop it; the material is hard but brittle.
