A hand-held aluminum alloy bender for aluminum, brass and copper tubing in three sizes: 3 mm, 4.75 mm and 6 mm. It works to a bend radius of 15 mm, which keeps the curve tight while the tube holds its round section. At 14.5 by 7.5 centimeters it drops into any tool box.

Bending thin tube by hand almost always kinks it at the worst possible point. A forming die pulls the material around a set radius instead, so the wall stays even and the bore stays open. The tool is small enough to use inside a cabinet or behind a panel, where a bench setup would never fit.
The kind of bend that looks like the tube arrived that way.

Seat the tube in the channel that matches its diameter and lock it before you start turning. Carry the bend through in one steady motion up to the angle you want, because bending back afterwards work-hardens the wall. Deburr the cut end first so the tube slides into the channel square.
Clamp in a length of tube and turn your first bend.
