A 1:20 scale radio-controlled car with four channels and a 2.4 GHz transmitter, built for drifting. Slick tires let the rear step out on cue, and you catch it again on the steering control. It runs up to 25 km/h and stays in range out to sixty metres.
An ordinary RC car drives in circles. A drift car asks you to time the steering and the throttle together, which is what keeps it interesting after the first afternoon. On the 2.4 GHz band, several cars can run at once without interfering with each other.
Steering gets interesting the moment the car stops behaving like a car.
Drift on a smooth, level surface such as concrete, tile or an empty parking bay; on carpet the tires simply grip. The pack charges over the supplied USB cable and gives roughly fifteen minutes of running. The transmitter takes separate batteries, which are not included.
