Group Hammock – A flat suspended deck instead of a one-person sling

Three straps and three trees give you a triangular surface that stays level under load. More than one person fits, and you can lie across it in any direction without sliding to the low point. Two sizes are available, roughly 2.8 m and 4 m along each edge.

Look for three trunks in a rough triangle and rig the straps at matching heights so the deck sits even. The smaller version needs about 110 inches per edge and the larger about 157 inches, so pace out the gaps before you commit. Hang it to dry the same day if you pack it damp.
